Structure<\/b><\/h1>

Posidonia oceanica<\/em> is a flowering plant which lives in dense meadows or along channels in the sands of the Mediterranean. It is found at depths from 1\u201335 meters dependent on water clarity. Cultivation<\/b><\/h1>

Posidonia oceanica<\/em> is propagated in several institutions and replanted to the sea to protect coastlines. It plays an important role in reducing the velocity and the power of waves. Therefore, it is also planted in the lagoon close to Venice to reduce the power of the sea on the basement of the buildings.<\/p>

At least 23 phenolic compounds were identified in Posidonia oceanica<\/em>. Balls of fibrous material are found in huge numbers at the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
